It'll definitely return. This is as bad for my portfolio as Sept/Oct 98 but for different reasons. Then the market was scared by global stuff. Now the economy is strong, nothing to be scared of. You could have a valuation correction without so much bloodshed.

ANyway, it amazes me how far down some of my holdings are such as GMST and NTAP. Well screw 'em those are good companies and I'm holding.

BTW, Thompson Investors lets you know whether it was retail or instituational buying, their afternon report notes:

The roar of the tech stocks' comeback faded fast during the last hours of trading as institutional investors cashed in on the day's earlier rally.

So there you have it--sucker rallies maybe until next week?
