Andrew, I tried to leave the nasdaq with mixed success. I discovered the energy stocks but just when I locked onto the financials they moved down. I think you have the right tools and the mettle, its just sometimes like you I wish I could lay low until this is over, but rallies get too tempting and then shorting those rallies are a matter of rote by now. Probably what we need is a Behaviorial Psychologist on retainer to 'read the worry and concerns of the individual investor/trader'.. and apply them to actual trading.

The 'bravest' are those that hold through earnings "There's a herd mentality on the Nasdaq that turns on a dime." Every rally is sold into and I don't blame them. When AMD's earnings moved the market up temporarily, some older tech investors used the opportunity to cut their losses and get out. Its still the 'bouncing off lows' that will give us good buy signals. So I watch the stocks that 'move down' to get in and the ones that move up to short.
