I think alot of people bank on earning run and caught with their pants down.

As I've said many times. . . I rarely find that earnings plays pay-off. But then, I did call one earnings play this season . . .AMD. . . and it appears to be the only big earnings winner so far. . .opening up 15 from yesterday's close.

Don't ask me what will happen tomorrow. . . this is another 2-DVD day. If I stay around here, I won't be able to see the forest for the trees.

In other news. . . .

Tokyo Joe special on CNBC tonight at 6:30PM EDT. These reports could have been superb. However, so far, I believe that CNBC has seriously failed to do its homework. [what else is new?] On the past 3 or 4 special reports, they are merely repeating what they are told. . . and are failing to uncover the many layers that tend to hide the "real truth." . . thus, are merely paying lip service. And they don't see how they have been played.

CNBC is trying to take on this Investigative Journalism look, without conducting their own unbiased investigations. . . leaving their reports to be fluff, slant and spin with little substance. . . or NEW NEWS. . . The typical hallmark of starting with an angle, then working it. . . as opposed to starting with a clean blank paper [with no preconceptions]. . .follow leads. . .verify all info. . .and report what you uncover.

It is even difficult to understand their point, as their report wanders aimlessly. If CNBC were to hand in these Business Night special reports to me in a classroom, I'd have to give them a C minus.
