RE: .if you end up buying the shorted shares, at least they are of a good company. ted Ted, I still must not understand shorting. Why would you have to keep shares? Wouldn't you buy them and then have to return them. You sell shares you don't have but then buy them later. If the stock goes down you buy back for less, if it goes up you have to pay more and you lose money but I still don't see how you would be stuck with the share. Tim
