Bob, Just a quick comment taken loosely from Peter Lynch or Peter Sellers aka Chauncey Gardner in the movie, "Being There". When tending a garden, one should pull the weeds not the flowers. i.e. Use this opportunity to improve the average quality of one's portfolio, not to keep the mediocre stuff. If the capital loss can't be used this year, it will come in handy sooner or later. JMHO, Ian.
