Most options do expire worthless.

The option writers are pretty sophisticated.

IMHO, unless you are confident of a big move - just as we were with AMD, otherwise buying Calls is a suckers game.

A lot of folks sell deep out of the money puts and just pocket the premiums. I know Elmer does this regularly. Its probably the safest way of option investing and most likely to be profitable.

I like covered calls as they provide downside protection. And I like to trade the calls and take advantage of market volatility.
