I didn't realize AMAT's hair was clipped to short until after I posted you last!

When you think about AMAT, I believe you have to think beyond DRAM. One example is TXN. TXN sold their dram division to MU a couple of years ago. Moreover, TXN is a big customer of AMAT. In 1999 TXN presented AMAT with an award of excellence!

TXN is into DSP chips which will be used in all sorts of devices, including cell phones. In the future,PCs may be a minor player when compared to the network appliance area, and other electrical appliances: film projectors, for instance. You should know that TXN will have very, very good earnings this year.

In the future, when we think about AMAT's prospects, I believe that we have to include DRAM, but, to me, it's possible that DRAM may only be a very small part of the future.

Cheers,

Mephisto

PS: I know I am behind with my posts. I apologize to everyone!
