Bill, from the info (of ?'able reliability) i have seen - smod beat earnings last quarter and estimates have been raised for this quarter - i saw this happen with sigma circuits where wall street put a pretty heavy expectation on the company and they didn't come through - check the chart on siga (28-14 is a 2/1 split, not a nosedive) to see the results of such an occurence. i know of no bad news about smod, but expect something similar to siga may be occuring. p/e is very low for a communication stock. tonal inflections from ir rep may help you decide whats up - call them at 510/623-1231. please post your impressions.
