With limited cash and AMD had to rely on a single fab, it is difficult to have consistency when Intel had an upper hand over the K6. Now that the K7 can scale better than the PIII, Intel stumbled (even with more fabs). Intel convered up the short falls with other revenues. Image AMD did the same, I am sure the Street will not forgive AMD. JMHO.
