New March trading data released by Nasdaq, shows AMES with 61 market makers. Since the price had a nice move recently, it is not surprising to find most of the old names coming back to the forefront of trading.

Herzog leads Jefferies and Bank of America, then Salomon, Smith Barney and Lehman. All of them less than 2 million shares traded, and they are pretty close in numbers.

AMES has released a good annual report. On their balance sheet; book value has increased.

A few more fixes on new stores to increase revenue/store and this year's projected earnings are in the bag. Good news travels fast. We hope the market makers will not paint themselves into a corner. Shorts has to be averaged up for profit taking and buy back. spread has to be properly considered.
