I didn't see the article. I don't know the reason for the great move today, but if I could venture a guess, it would be that the move was related to Avid Chairman Bill Miller's presence at the Hambrecht and Quist conference on technology. MSNBC has a transcript online of an interview with Bill Miller which took place yesterday. Here's the URL: mktnews.nasdaq.com Bill Miller has a wonderful manner, and instills a sense of easy-going confidence. Coming on the heels of a favorable quarterly report, I wouldn't be surprised if analysts availed themselves of the chance to get to know him better. But then again, everything I just said could easily be wrong. :-) Perry
