PatiBob: By all accounts, it would seem that the father had a very good and loving relationship with his son. Back in Cuba Elian has both sets of loving grandparents and additional relatives as well.

The extended Cuban family in the US as I understand it, had not as much sent Elian a rattle or birthday card during his life prior to coming to the US. Now they are the more loving branch of the family. Forget the grandmothers that came from Cuban and now the boys father.

As I understand Elians great uncle in Miami has not held a steady job for years, some outstanding role model?heh?

Finally today I saw some mention of the hundreds of AMERICAN children being held in foreign countries against the US parents will. It was just a short blurb on CNN.

THIS IS AN AMERICAN DISGRACE. Once again this government puts the interest of foreigners ahead of the interest of their own citizens. It is all about the vote in Florida, not doing what is right.

Janet Reno did not even think about going to WACO before the many AMERICAN children were burned to death. Where was her mantra of being patient then?

Regards,
LG
