Digitalme is dead meat except for the underlying technology The identity vault and profiling are being sold in raw infrastructure form. Whatever goes on top of it is now a function of the customers needs. In other words no community as conceived of by Scott, and no giving the end user a secure digital identity that he/she controls, just a better way for commercial sites to manage identities. Novell caved in to commercialism and did not realize our original objectives for individual identity on the internet. From the stockholder perspective they traded a big big killer end user internet app for one that gets them in the door and gets them some deals. We still get some revenue and partnerships that may lead to more internet credibility but we don't get the killer directory based app. My focus has shifted to Eguide.
