Ross, I am very impressed with your ability to make this chart viewable thru SI! I have discussed this with Richard and had concluded no way. Tell me how you set that up! This could revolutionize this site, if people would illustrate their posts with HTML links back to their home ISPs, but I don't know how to do it. Pray tell right now.

You used the extreme primary pivots in1995 instead of what I did, which is use the two primary pivots in 1994. I did this to "filter out" some of the volatility in 95-96, to get a more "conservative" view. I think perhaps the recently weighted trend is better revealed by using as the paired anchors the I pivot in early 1996 and the P pivot in mid 1996, but still using the 1992 primary pivot as your base anchor. No matter how you slice it, the long term trend for XLNX is up and the lows in late 95 and mid 96 are blips.

Look at my .gif again and see how the close is below the base trend line only once perhaps twice after closing above it in the last quarter of 1994. That is powerful support to my eye.

I am quite fond of the Pitchfork for a long term look see. What do you think about it?

I also note your tool box setup along the right side of your chart. Handy!

And your oscillator is one unfamiliar to me- a 10 70 oscillator. Is that in the book somewhere, or your own concoction?
