On line electronic interchange of information is the future of healthcare. Precertifications, checking for eligilbility of insurance, copays and sending in electronic claims to health insurers is coming and will be a requirement just like the y2k. Just think of what y2k was for a few years. It was not until the last year that it was really big , even though it was known for several years. This HIPPA/Hipaa act will be a real boom for companies like HLTH. I just spoke with a rep for Covad which handles DSL lines. With WEBMD we will be able to see video of conferences for continuing medical education credits. This company is limitless.
