Anyway, I'm looking to get back into the game here. I thought the market would be in for a tough summer but at least some of the excesses are getting wrung out now.
On topic, Maxtor, HDD, and (to a lesser degree) Rdrt and Htch look very interesting to me for a long term investment. Does anyone have a bear case for them-- other than historical performance.
What percentage of total disk drive production is concentrated in a geographical region-- would I be taking on inappropriate political or natural disaster risk by making a substantial investment in this industry?

Pretty close to buying back into this market but still wary,
