Is this the old Keynsian philosophy that a little inflation
is acceptable trade off so as to have full employment and
that it is the Fed's job to achieve that?
I thought we tried that with Jimmy aka Carter and the Dem
crowd of the 70s. It took us 15 years to crawl out of that hole.
I am not sure too many are willing to go back to that.
We broke 3500. Next stop ?3000.

Of course, do you think they just finished running their computer program this morning and say "here it is boss, CPI is 0.7"? That's why it's more important where we close today. The market is in a free fall and no one wants to catch a falling knife. The only hope is the Fed realizes the world economy is counting on US for full recovery and a hard landing can be worse than a little inflation.
