Well lets just say a good deal of 'nets will not come back. There were so, so many ipo's and crap. Of course there are still promising stocks in the net sector, but look at the 'most down' list for the last few days and the number of internet stocks hanging out there are quite convincing of their lacklustre performance. They will have to rebound hundreds of percentage points (like the biotechs). I just think the semis, electrical equipment stocks, communications equipment and services, software, and still the generic drug group are way more promising.
You can't group good earnings stocks with strong growth and provable income after tax, with junk. If I hear the word 'buying opportunity' one more time.. Its not a 'general' all clear buying opportunity, its an opportunity to make some money, whether it takes 1 hour or 2 days, you can only take one hour at a time..

With the dow down 442, there is no safe haven.. The 'old economy' will shatter because even though everyone eats, there is just that much they can eat at one time. But there is an infinite amount of money they can spend on 'electronic toys' wider bandwidth, chips, cell phones, etc. We already have 4 and I remember when having 1 was a big deal.
