Regarding the tone of the day...

The attempt earlier was aimed at focusing posters back towards questions/comments more in line with the original purpose of this thread, as opposed to what it has become. There are a few people who only complain, regardless of current conditions. It's a free country, and people can and do say what they want, but when they reject offers of help and chastise others with good intentions, I have to wonder if they even want help in the first place. I have seen a few members who will attack other SI members who have had the audacity of trying to be of assistance, or -- gasp -- like the product. Many clients complain to me that this SI forum has become nothing but a ongoing complaint session. The number of habitual complainers is dwarfed by those with legitimate questions, and I have received dozens of emails from users who are now afraid to post to SI, and asking that I join other discussion areas that have more respectful members. I have NEVER logged on to this site with the intent of being convoluted, misleading, condescending or rude; I have only tried to help those I could. For this, I have been called a POS on multiple occasions, a clown, and otherwise insulted and spat at by a few people who do not know me from Adam.

I am not saying we are without problems, rest assured we are aware of the issues before us. But we have also been up front and honest with regards to informing clients of the issues we face, and tried to be as open as possible in offering timeframes for corrections. This has backfired somewhat, as delays we have encountered have pushed back original estimates and deadlines. I shouldn't have to point this out, but we(quote.com) and you (our clients) want the same thing -- service without a hitch. We will get past this 'dark' period, and will again have the level of service those who have been with us since before the current conditions arose had grown accustomed to. But I cannot make time go faster, and time is what it will take to resolve these problems.

I feel bad for those of you who use the thread for questions, tips, and comments, because what will happen is that we will stop monitoring this thread (please don't take that as a threat, it just that my being here isn't helping anyone anymore and my time and attention can be better spent in other forums).

Respectfully,

Paul
