Please spare me your speech!
Actually it's people like YOU who are responsible for this. It's people like YOU who see this type of bullshit and yet does not have the courage to stand up and fight against the abuse that we here are all victims of.
Yes, I agree, just like buying a car one always tries to get the better deal. But we are not all mechanics. Similarly with stocks, the average investor relies on the supposed experts. The experts tell us ETEK should be at $500, JDSU should be at $325, NT $225. Our decisions, rightly or wrongly, are based on recommendations from these so-called experts. Where are the experts now?
Don't blame Mr. Joe Investor.
As far as Mr. Greenspan is concerned, YES he is accountable for the atmosphere surrounding the markets today. He has created an atmosphere of uncertainty and fear which is directly responsible for the high volatility of our markets. It is not healthy for an economy to be swayed by one man's release of Hot Air. This leads to abuse. He recently attacked investors for acquiring wealth through the markets and suggested that margin requirements should be reviewed. Is his goal to ensure a steady economy or is it to ensure that the average Joe's standard of living does not elevate to his?
Since you have become the defender of the Great One, maybe you can answer my question: how are Americans better off today?
As far as weeding out the weak, keep in mind that no one benefits from a loss of investors whether they be strong or weak. How much value will your expensive shares have when there is no other investor out there willing to buy them from you? True, the cream will rise, but with fewer investors out there I guess you will have to lick it yourself.
