The Fed saved the market, that's why you won out. The market would have gone down 50% due to forced liquidations by many hedge funds that were on the brink of disaster. Long-Term Capital alone could have brought down the U.S. economy based on the value of their derivative positions.

If the Fed saves the market again, you'll win again.

My feeling is that they won't...remember, it's not the Fed's job to worry about the markets (at least that's what people said on the way up when criticizing Alan Greenspan).
