Ecommerce has caused an increase in demand for delivery services Say again??!!! That is the most inane statement I've heard since Doug K opted to open his mouth just a while ago. Are you saying that goods that are produced are not permitted to be shipped to market without causing inflation? I guess they are just supposed to lie around the warehouse and collect dust... Heaven forbid that any method by which they are shipped, whether by truck, train, or plan (or ship) should result in inflation. Geezus.. Just because they are shipped by plane means little. What is important is the time that transpires between the manufacturing of the product and its delivery to a consumer. The shorter that time-span, the better. It decreases the amount of inventory that is required to be on hand to meet sudden demand. Sorry to be so harsh.. but to focus only on particular aspect of ecommerce and suddenly decide that it is inflationary is just poor analysis. You have to weigh ALL factors. Regards, Ron
