George, nevertheless, the countertrend rallies will likely be quite powerful...and probably will only serve to trap more inexperienced investors. but they will be playable...
Agreed, as most "investors" buying the dip have only had to do it on the *right side of the mountain*, not the left.
Buying the dip in an uptrend is always the right thing to do. Funny how most will not figure out that doing in a downtrend can be rather dangerous ;)
Me thinks the greed element will overshadow the fear component until one rally is obliterated by a strong sell off; perhaps then it may be safe.
On another note, interesting to see all the high flier IPO's of not long ago, many trading below IPO price now after reaching incredible highs. Just look at the carnage in KANA, EGAN, CMRC, PPRO, AKAM, RBAK, IWOV, PALM, LNUX (a personal short selling fav), etc. I don't have to do any research to find this list, just think about anything that went wildly up, they are mostly all back down.
