Auric, You know, I'm sitting here looking at all of the carnage from this past week, and I'm thinking that things can't get much worse. But then I think again, that depends upon one's perspective. So I thought to myself, "Self, who has it worse right now?". There could be multiple answers... Think for a second about all of those poor executives and insiders whose lockup period expires this coming Monday. They have it worse. I've only lost what, 20% or 40% or 50% of my portfolio. What the heck. That's what? About $100? But these guys lost their cheap and easy meal tickets. Wonder who's got lockups expiring next week? <g> Then I thought about Bill Gates. Two weeks ago, he was still the richest man in America. Today, probably some evil shorter has aced him out for the title... What about Abby Joseph Cohen? Does she feel terrible because her prognostications may have been a catalyst, or does she feel righteous because her forecast came true (self-fulfilling prophecies???)? I'm sure that there are others out there much worse off than we are, that's for sure. God it's good to be an American... KJC
