The First of 8 surgeries.
I can remember ,,,being articulate.
I can remember ,,,being able to speak CLEARLY.
and Swallow...
In my minds eye,,,
I can remember ,,,saying my D's,
and my G's,
and my K's,
with clear pronunciation,
I can remember,,,,Not being stared at,
I can remember,,,,Having the other half of my face,
and the other half of my tongue,
and the other half of the muscles,
on my throat,
and my chest,
and my lymph,
i can remember,,,,when my fibula,
was in my leg,
and not in my jaw,
i can remember,,,,,pre-radiation,
when i could taste,
something other than charcoal,

for without them,
I would just make a trip to Sam's club,
once a Month,,,,for a BAG of BRIQUETS..... |
