AMD investors -

We have new SPECint95 scores out for the 1GHz CuMine and the 1 GHz Athlon and as expected the CuMine blows the Athlon away by a wide margin - 11%. The gap would have been even wider if Intel had used the 840 board and a Xeon. In fact, the GHz Athlon barely edged out the 866MHz CuMine.

AMD is still using the old Intel compiler, even though the new one has been out for quite some time now.

In floating point AMD still loses but by a closer margin than they did in the past. It is interesting to note that AMD switched over from the Intel to the Compaq Fortran compiler, presumably to get a boost (from prefetch?). They still lose though, as expected.
