Hello All: Have heart. What are the odds that we are going to hit oil?
By the old paradigm of resource exploration we would have a 1 out of 15 chance of winning. I am not a gambler and I performed miserably at finite math, but I understand that these are very long odds.
The benefit of theEMSounder technology is that it reduces those odd to 1 out of 3.
The problem is that the investing public is using the 1 out of 15 formula for assessing the success of the EMSounder because the technology has not been proven.
My assessment of this company is that this well is all or nothing. I would venture to guess that they feel they have a sure thing, or they would not be placing the company in such jeopardy.
And so, we have a very interesting imbalance. And a very exciting opportunity. The market has lost faith in this technology at the very last minute. They have assumed that the old paradigm will remain dominant. They are punishing speculative mineral exploration companies. They don't trust management. They want news even if there is no news to report.
As a result of this lack of faith, the risk factor has been reduced as depicted in the share price. Is this company any different today at $0.18 a share than when I originally purchased it at $0.76? No.
Is it four times more risky? Of course not.
In fact, it is four times less risky if you define risk, as most would, as the potential loss of money.
I do not believe Dr. Stamm is a Mr. Guzman. I believe that we have a technology that is superior. And I also believe that we will strike oil. And so, with the stock at its current level, I am going to find some money and purchase a few shares from those who are bailing out at the best price I can get. The odds are in my favor. Now, I only hope the gods are. ;>)
