Eagle, there was a sign, a classic TA signal of the top, which I now regret ignoring. I should have sold everything and stepped aside, instead I held core holdings in several techs and some small caps. And then there were Rande's warnings. Take a look at this chart. It might be a little hard to see but the second top in March came on lighter volume, an ominous sign and a sure signal to sell. We were given two chances to exit the market at the top and how many took either of them? There is a lot of regret. I have my share of it, but hopefully there will also be some hard lessons learned that will be foremost in our minds next time we think about waiting for those few extra percents.

And a history lesson...one of last year's high fliers that made a double top and sold off going from 90 to 30. Sound familiar? I wish I had pulled this chart and similar others so that I would have been prepared for the depth of this selloff.

We'll do better next time, I'm sure of it.
Julie
