Techplayer, I personally think that McGuinn's desperate attempt to shore up LU's price vis-a-vis spin-off of their Enterprise business was/is a HUGE mistake and a sure sign that he is trying to muddle the LU non-performance in the next couple of quarters.

Enterprise and public networking applications will converge, NOT diverge over the next decade and for LU to not be involved in the on-premise market as an extension of the public network is a mistake that will hurt them dearly in the long-term in their effort to compete with NT and Cisco.

LU is of course not going to dissappear but they have some major structural problems and internal mgmt problems preventing them from taking their rightful share of the new networking market. The problem for them of course is that IF they do not MAINTAIN their market share as the networking technology evolves from electrons to light beams, their bottom-line will take a drubbing as their overhead structure remain the same.

Long NT and reservations on both LU and CSCO until LU gets better CEO and CSCO learns how the networking busines truely works.
