It might interest you to know that the man for whom the Americas were named did not at any point feel the need or desire to speak english, lol.

He was a kidnapper too, btw. On the way back to Spain from the mouth of the Amazon in 1500 he captured and enslaved 500 indians in the islands currently called the Bahamas. So it's not like this drunken great-uncle is setting a precedent or anything.
