What about Timna?

I have heard two different stories about Timna. One is that it directly accesses SDRAM. The other is that it accesses SDRAM through a hub. I doubt that you will see any DRDRAM Timna systems. (Ten, can you verify this?)

the ongoing debate about Rambus' inherent latency

I have been trying to make the point that latency does not vary much from DRAM type to type. Bandwidth does vary quite a bit, but is of secondary importance to CPU performance (due to the very short bursts that CPUs typically perform.)

It therefor makes no sense to pay a significant premium for DRAM bandwidth on a PC.
