Jill: over on Voltaire's Porch I just took a look at some of the postings on that thread... Unfortunately, relying on angels or bogus self-proclaimed TA gurus that miss more than hit, is no way to invest or trade. The problem with manias is that some folks get lucky and mount a manic stock near the beginning of its lift off. Soon they and their fellow "lucky" investors begin to believe they are much more astute in investing and trading than they actually are! The "really" lucky ones, made a decision (for what ever reason) to exit QCOM near the top in spite of the fact the angels and bogus gurus chanted for folks to hold. After the first major decline, these same gurus often postulated about rapid recoveries... In an effort to help folks avoid what I have just read on the "porch" is why I created this thread.
