John, thanks for your comments. You are right in saying that once inflation gets out of the bottle, it's very, very hard to stuff it back in. That's why AG has been trying to slow down the economy with his preemptive rate hikes. Also, one CPI report, or one data point, doesn't forecast a trend. Although, I must admit that there has been evidence that inflation has been raising over the past year, and the jump in oil prices sure hasn't helped. (I believe there is a Columbia U. model that is well regarded, and the model has shown that inflation pressures have been building for around a year.) Have you seen or heard of the Columbia model?
