It's idiotic because the guy is comparing apples and elephants. To compare the DOW's valuations from the 1920's 1930's, 1940's etc to the nasdaq, which really began in its present form in 1975, is idiotic.

Since he was slamming the present nasdaq valuations, why did he not look at historical nasdaq ranges, and talk about that? Maybe he did at first, and decided it was not too out of whack with the last year's figures! When you get to appear in print, it's always best to be dramatic and hard-hitting, I suppose, even if you have to resort to comparing apples and elephants. After all, many readers just won't know any better.
