For someone who is better off you sure sound crabby. Seems to me that the recent market activity has pissed you off mored than you'd like us to believe.

Secondly, as far as your travels abroad, Mr. Patriotic Investor, I really don't give a gdamn rats ass where you go. Your travels are irrelevant and see no point why you should raise them.

Finally, the issue I had initially raised was NOT one of economics but rather one of investor CONFIDENCE in the markets. Regardless of economic indicators, it is ultimately investor confidence that directs the market. Greenspan et al have succeeded in creating a degree of uncertainty. He has spoken against investors finding wealth in the markets as if it were a crime to make money. He raises the issue of tightening or restricting the availability of credit for purposes of investing. JDSU was adversley affected recently when certain brokerage houses removed margin allowance. Greenspan also is to blame for his attack on his invisible arch rival - "inflation". Other than the price of fuel, which has doubled, does anyone here see signs of inflation?

Since you speak of economics, professor, what happens to an economy should interest rates be raised too much???? It ultimately leads to a recession. I will spare the details. I do strongly suggest you go back to ECON 101 and review your notes maybe then we'll be at the same level.
