Rarebird: <The number of Comex gold warehouse stocks has more than doubled over the last few months> I too have been puzzled by this -- except perhaps as it might relate to recent auctions or to institutional buying -- but I don't really know. What is done when gold is bought? Do these gold holdings go up when pension funds buy gold?? Presumably institutional investors do not want the gold at the office -- who holds it for them? If I bought gold in tons, I would want it in a warehouse -- is their anything to this idea?
