The Crash of 1929 was preceded by extreme volatility. It was said that Bernard Baruch sold everything when he got a stock tip from a shoeshine boy. Are there any lessons to be learned? I understand that it took a number of years for the market to recover (like until 1935). I think that this is not the bottom in today's decline.
I think that it is just the mid-point of the decline. I look for some steep declines next week. People have no heart for stocks.

October 1987, "Blue Monday" there was a 22% decline in one day which took 5 months to approach the previous levels.

This decline has not caused enough pain.

IMO NASDQ must approach 2500
