Allan, I'd like to take a shot at your multiple choice question.

(1) If you did not issue a Sell, did your "Timing Model" issue a Sell?
You would have to answer this yes based on his previous insistence that the model was either bullish or bearish. You may recall the "batten down the hatches" caller last year.

(2) Is there a difference between your Timing Model "turning bearish" and it issuing an outright Sell?

Last year, when some components were going negative, he claimed that the model could not issue a sell signal until new highs were approached. So I guess this could be a yes.
However, it was very clear that his model gave a sell signal in January. He chose to implement it with tactical allocation.

(3) If your Timing Model did issue a Sell, why didn't you take it?
Wanted a way out so he wouldn't be made fun of like Elaine if the market continues up

(4) If your Timing Model did not issue a Sell, is it still on a Buy? No, it issued a sell in January

It is interesting that the only time he called himself bearish was at the bottom in February, which we are still above in the S&P 500 and DOW.

Not trying to knock him, just pointing out a few things.
I really enjoy his discussions of markets making bottoms. Too bad he has his mind made up that this is the big bear because otherwise he would probably bring good insight to the table.
