With the rapid fall of OPTV's stock in the last few days do you still think the merger with spyg would go through? Any one have thoughts on the protentials of this market Open TV is in?

I am more concerned with the value of Spyglass. Maybe the merger isn't such a good thing after all. One of the primary reasons for the merger is for OpenTV to own the Spyglass web browser so it can be imbedded into set top boxes along with OpenTV's software. opentv.com. AOL recently released Netscape 6 and is clearly positioning it for the non-PC device market. It seems to me a better strategy would be to make some kind of deal with AOL for OpenTV to use Netscape 6 and AOL would somehow use OpenTVs stuff. It may be too late for OpenTV to get into AOL TV but there may be other opportunities. AOL is an investor in OpenTV. Comments?
