Is the Fed so uncomfortable with letting the economy take its own course that it must exacerbate natural cycles and create unnatural booms and busts? Is the IMF now making the US pay for Japan's excesses, inefficiencies, and cronie capitalism by creating for first a boom and then a bust?

Japan is now on getting on her feet and in a period of mergers and acquisitions. Internally there is consumer demand and exports are increasing. The need for tech positions is as great there as here.

I view Asia as saving the US from out of control inflation It was due to the low cost of production there that we flourished as we did here. This is why China's entry into the WTO is so important it will continue to diffuse inflation for us.
I believe long range that transport costs are going to become an issue and oil will boom far beyond what it has now. Hopefully tech will produce a solution to this as energy demands will increase due increased consumption in Asia.
