As far as I know, you sell covered puts when you short the stock. Otherwise, you sell naked puts.

Here is the list of my naked puts now:
AMD Apr 65
AMD Jul 55 :~)
AMD Jul 70 :~(
RFMD Apr 120 :~(
RFMD Jul 70 :~)
VTSS Apr 90 :~(
VTSS Jul 60 :~)
CS Apr 32.5 :~((

The net performance of my naked puts is aweful. They tie up my cash at this moment for hunting for bargain basement:~(
