When I was listening to Jan Baan speak at the Special Meeting in March, I was also trying to take notes. I promise you that note taking is not one of my specialities - but I try! <ggg>

During Mr. Baan's presentation, he put up a slide which showed the logos of the key companies that the Vanenburg Group had an ownership interest in. Unfortunately, I couldn't jot them all down. I also want to point out that throughout the presentation, Mr. Baan continually talked about how the companies within that group would be working together in the future. However, when he made a point to mention two of the companies in particular, I made sure to jot down their names. He spoke highly of these two as being great companies who were well positioned and would do very well. These two companies were Top Tier, and WebEx.

So, just who are these companies, what do they do, who are their customers, and their partners. It was funny in that I was planning on pulling this information together today and posting it later tonight. However, yesterday I received a phone call from Barry K, who had been doing a scan of Free Edgar to search for any new references for Jan Baan. He called me to tell me that he found that Mr. Baan and the Vanenburg Group name had popped up as having an ownership position in Top Tier. What was even more interesting was that Top Tier had just filed the S1's (For those of you who may be unfamiliar with this form, it is a very important document that is required to be filed when a company wants to take themselves to an IPO on the NASDAQ). Barry told me he had already drafted a post to show what he had found out, but he hadn't posted it yet.

When I heard this I had to laugh and I told him of my plans to also dig into Top Tier and they other company Mr. Baan had mentioned at the meeting. Since Barry had already done the legwork on Top Tier, I told him I would focus on WebEx, and together we could put out what we have found.

I want to emphasize that I believe that what Barry and I have found about these two companies and their customer and partner list is very important. In my opinion, this information strongly validates the claims that NSI has aligned themselves with an organization that is extremely well connected, well funded, and who will ensure their long term success. I am now convinced that as NSI continues to develop their technology, the synergistic relationships they will will no doubt have with all the companies in the Vanenburg Group portfolio and many of their partners / customers will provide them (and their spin off companies) with tremendous access and support. This relationship should go a long, long way to ensuring that this company lives up to its full potential.
