just on a whim, i have gone back and read all of the posts on this thread...this stock might bounce since it has been battered quite severely, but why didnt it participate during the Nov. to Feb. run-up in the entire biotech/health related sector?...the street must know something...while rev. growth can look quite impressive by buying up both medical/radiation oncology practices, but these are artificial numbers imo...where is the real rev. growth going to come from?...its true that people are living longer and cancer rates are up, but they are going up very slowly and in small amts...this is not like selling DWDM and pump lasers for the optical industry...chemotx(their bread and butter) re-imbursements are going down and not up!...drug prices are going up, not down...the cost of buiding cancer centers is enormous...the financial incentives given to USON physicians is huge or why would they give up their autonomy and join...others on this thread have mentioned this sector should drive down cost and improve cure rates for many cancers but where is the evidence of that?...if anyone on this thread can name 1 single cancer where the cure rates have been improved significantly over the past 10 yrs, i would like to hear about it...chemotx, immunotherapy, genetic based tx and radiation therapy have not increased cure rates...people that think because CRA just sequenced the human genome we are going to have cures for most cancers do not understand this science at all...just because u know the alphabet doesnt mean you can read and write...imo it will take another 10-20 yrs before significant advances are made...thats not to say that small advances in some diseases will be made, but cancer development is a complex and multi-step process and will not be solved overnight... imo, sentiment is growing against USON at the ground level... when they consolidate their services by offering chemotx, radiation, surgical, labs, radiology, dietary and social services under one roof, the hosp's will lose a significant portion of their rev's...while initially great for USON, ultimately, everyone working in the hospital system will eventually be hurt as the hospital will have to cut back other services to make up for these rev. losses...physicians and nurses are finally getting savvy to these implications and will no longer welocome them with open arms...imo USON will not be the costco. of cancer care...right or wrong, my views are obviously jaded but they are formed from experience at the ground level...the last thing i want to do is try to get others on this thread to sell their USON shares...im just giving another view ...goodluck.
