Patrick likes to take all the toys from the basket one at a time and hide them on the bed.

Duchess IS a special girl. When she first came to us as a foster dog, she had been abandoned. 30lbs underweight. Nearly blind from Panus (an eye disease). Infected and ulcerated inverted vulva. She snapped, snarled and growled at us for 4 days from her crate. Rae and I have worked with many problem dogs, but she was the worse.

However, within a week of Rae being calm and kind with her, she let us near enough to find all the medical things that were wrong. She was snapping because she couldn't see! 3 days on medication and that went away (she gets drops every day now). Surgery and medication cleared up the backside of her. 3 weeks later, little glimpses of the 'angel girl' started to appear.

We changed her food to Solid Gold Hund N' Flocken...it's incredible...same price as Iams, Science Diet, etc...nearly all vegetarian..remarkable food. She regained her weight, her coat is a soft as a rabbit, and, well, you can see how much love and happiness she has now.

Of course...this took about 5 months...and there was no way we were letting anyone else have her :>)

and she's great to hug when we watch the market tank...
