There is a hell of a lot more money flowing into the stock market today than there was in 1987. 401K's were just becoming popular in 1987. Now just about everybody has a 401K. Week after week, month after month 4% to 15% of the gross pay of millions of Americans goes into the stock market. I don't even know anyone who doesn't have a 401K.

My son bought more XLK and QQQ on Friday. I told him the market might go down again on Monday. He said "so what, I won't need the money for 30 years."
