zeev, the savings rate may not be tallied correctly. however, there is one indisputable fact that can be gleaned. folks are saving less than they ever have before (excluding retirement accts). maybe this trend is sustainable and maybe it isn't. i am convinced, however, that rate hikes are history, at least for a while. this should bolster the market a little.
