I thought that this should be a PM but then on reflection also realized that complaining in public has its merits -- something I'm sure you've appreciated recently.
I remember finding it difficult, dealing with your phone calls at more or less all hours of the night, back when you and Poet were friends.
I also remember finding it difficult when I learned how you were coming on to her. I can't help but wonder whether this relatively recent animosity has its source not so much in differences of opinion or temperament, but unrequited love.
At this point, after having read your posts, it is likewise difficult not to believe, being Poet's husband, that you're just interested in pissing her off and hurting her.

I quote you here referring to Poet in one of your posts, paraphrasing. But I've got it right. You have no idea how ignorant you are, which I would find laughable if I weren't so pissed off.
As I recall, she was always kind to you, regardless of how touchy the circumstances, personal or not.
And that's the thing -- her greatest weakness is her genuine concern for others. You can sometimes be put off, finding someone self-righteous and judgmental, until you discover that they have no hidden agendas -- that they really mean it -- voicing their ideas and opinions with no ax to grind. I've made this mistake on occasion and now you (among others) should be equally chagrinned at the fact that your dealing with a person that genuinely gives a flying mmph about the fate of her friends.
To this you respond with 'beat her up' comments. I'm a fairly burly carpenter, 25 years in the business. I'm not an achingly earnest human being. Nevertheless,comments about slapping women around are about as funny as an invitation I might make to my Jewish friends to come on over and check out my new oven. Find that funny?
