as far as i know Abe never owned slaves. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. Back then it was considered "normal" to. Jefferson was a slaveowner...so was Washington I believe. Your family probably never had slaves...the village idiots were never allowed to. In some parts of the world Aborigines are still living in grass and mud huts.
