The article doesn't say a thing. Based on that trash writing I don't understand what MSFT has in mind. The article makes MSFT look disorganized. If that is true, it shows MSFT has big internal problems. I don't trust that whomever wrote that article did enough research.

The objective for ATHM has nothing to do with jumping inside OS code. ATHM needs MSFT to write custom application code along the lines KB and I outlined. This code would incorporate some of what Home 2.0 does but in a better dynamic media way. For ATHM facility is the name of the game, not what is facilitated.

This is contract programming. Nothing to do with who gets whom or X buys Y or who trusts whom or who is presumably in bed with whom or what bubble gum cards will be swapped. MSFT would want to do the deal because they would earn money. There is something beyond Hollywood's conception of business going on in the world. Newsweek doesn't know that because Newsweek has nothing to say and needs to sell magazines. None of this has anything to do with engaging MSFT to create a top flight interface.
