Zeev,

I would think that profit margin requirements would depend on 2 things. First the sale price of the product and second the expected quantity to be sold. In the case of CD's the second is in the millions if successful. I have at least 40 CD's sent to me unsolicited from AOL and so do most of my friends, and their service stinks, so I don't use their service. If they can be so successful giving away CD's for free, it seems the music industry can give away a few freebies! Just kidding...maybe.... Besides with the market going in the toilet, I can't afford $18 per any more.

Also consider that people buy and sell used CD's of which the artist does not see one thin dime, after the original sale. That's legal. I'm not too worried about the popular artists anyway. They always seem to have enough money for drugs. (yes, cynical) It's late and yes I am being unfair. Besides Ausdauer 2 posts covered the topic better than I ever could, so I just try to add a little humor.

At any rate I will email your son and see if I can get one good sample somehow and if I like it I'll buy it. Fair enough.
